The Ernst Freiberger Foundation

The Ernst Freiberger Foundation contributes significantly to tackling social and cultural challenges. It is based on the foundation law of the Federal State of Berlin, its sole and immediate purpose being the advancement of charitable aims. The foundation emphasises the social responsibility assumed by entrepreneur Ernst Freiberger and the fact that, as a citizen, he is dedicated to common welfare.

Erecting monuments to outstanding personalities of contemporary history is one of the Ernst Freiberger Foundation’s three core fields of activity. Other initiatives focus on integrating elderly people into society and conducting academic research on pressing social and cultural challenges.

Committee

Entrepreneur Ernst Freiberg is the director of the eponymous foundation set up by him in 1994. Two people on the executive board and six trustees support him in his work. The Amerang Dispute, representing the foundation’s commitment to academic research and debate, is directed by the renowned social scientist Prof. Dr. Meinhard Miegel.
