The Amerang Dispute – Solutions for Today’s Challenges
The Amerang Dispute represents the Ernst Freiberger Foundation’s commitment to academic research and subsumes the foundation’s activities in this area. Top scholars meet with experts from the fields of politics, economics, public administration and culture to analyse and discuss the enormous challenges of society today. The Ernst Freiberger Foundation conceives of itself as a bridge between science and society and not only delineates perspectives on future development but also provides unconventional answers and solutions for pressing issues. Thus, the 3rd Amerang Dispute has dealt with the future of the family, while the 4th Amerang Dispute has been focusing on the connection between increasing material prosperity and personal contentment.
At the heart of the Amerang Dispute lies the constructive discussion about the future of Western industrialised societies. One of the key questions is: how can we shape society if the countries’ economic strength stagnates or even decreases? The Ernst Freiberger Foundation invites renowned experts from all areas of society for a fertile discussion over the best solutions at hand. The results of these debates are presented to the general public.
Since 2009, working groups have been providing the academic basis for the Amerang Dispute. The working groups consist of scholars from many different fields of investigation. These experts develop solutions for dealing with current and future challenges posed by economy and society. The working groups’ findings are put up for discussion at the Amerang Disputes.
