How to Participate

The “Sunflower Meeting Point” is a lively venue for meeting other people and mingling with them. By facing new challenges, forming new friendships and gaining new experiences, many elderly people here find new fulfilment in their daily life. “Together and for one another” is the motto of the institution, and therefore giving and taking is of key importance. A large group of volunteers play a major role in turning the centre into a success, either by acting as tutors or by participating in events in the (internet) café. Courses on memory training, foreign languages, computer skills, watercolour painting, yoga, literature and singing help to keep the members and guests of the centre mentally and physically fit. On excursions, at lectures or debates they find a congenial community that shares their recollections and experiences.
The “Sunflower Meeting Point” is open to anyone over the age of 60. The membership fee is 10 Euro per month. If you would like to get in touch with us for the first time, the direction of the centre is happy to welcome you. You can come and visit us at Kirchstraße 8, 10557 Berlin (near the train station Bellevue) on Wednesday to Friday between 14.00 and 17.00 hours.
